Bioinformatics PhD positions (m/f/d)
Project description:
The
bioinformatics project aims to identify cell type-specific effects of
obesity and coronary artery disease loci by integrating data of
single-cell RNA sequencing and genome-wide association studies (GWAS) (Details). A supporting biological team will help to screen and validate potential therapeutic gene targets from your analysis.
What you bring:
- Master’s student in biology, life sciences, bioengineering, biomedicine, or bioinformatics
- Experience with R or Python (skills of bioinformatics analysis on single-cell RNAseq data will be a plus)
- Strong interest in cardiovascular research
- Accuracy and reliability, initiative, organizational skills, and a high sense of responsibility
- Very good written and spoken English
- High level of communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
